This morning I was conversing with a girlfriend of mine on Facebook. She was telling me about her
male friend that she's had for over 30 years now and what a good friend he is to her, always Johnny on the spot whenever she needs anything.
I asked her, why don't you marry this guy? Her response was "He's still screwed up over his divorce from his ex-wife and not to mention, I don't know if he'd make good husband material anyway. He'll always make a great friend but a husband is a whole other story. A lot of men these days don't know how to keep a woman. They have forgotten that we like the little things i.e. flowers, boxes of chocolate, a nice card, etc"
It got me thinking, has this been a problem for me? And hands down until I met my boyfriend now, I must say that I agree with her. The new generation of men don't know how to court a woman, instead it's all about when am I gonna get to tap dat ass? LOL !!!
I get so tired of men blaming women for why they're not chivalrous anymore. I mean just because a man chose to deal with some chicken heads that don't understand the value in chivalry doesn't mean you should take it out on our entire gender - GEEZ!
Little do men know that if they put forth a little extra effort, they can actually keep a quality woman around! Now if a chicken head is what he wants, then of course putting in a little extra work won't be required because she's not worth more than that, however, if a man wants a quality woman, he knows how to get her, but do men nowadays know what it takes to keep her?
